Meet the Daughters

This site is not an official National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) website, and the content contained herein does not necessarily represent the position of the NSDAR. The President General is the official spokesperson of NSDAR.

Meet women of color and descendants of patriots of color who celebrate their ancestors' fight to achieve American independence through membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  Who are these women?

Learn about their personal journeys to join the DAR and the contributions they are making as members. The stories of these women are updated and additional members added as they become available.

Use the "filter by" tool to view the descendants by their American Indian, black or African descent, and white or European descent men and women patriots who contributed to the founding of the United States of America (USA).
Daughters are listed by the date that they became a member of the DAR (join date), displayed in the banner on their photo.
"Join Date" sort option only applies when filtering by "All".

"Newest" sort option lists Daughters by most recently added to this website.
